Coronavirus Update

Dear MCMA Families,
As the COVID-19 health situation develops across the United States, we have been constantly listening to announcements by Federal and local authorities regarding best practices and recommendations for individuals as well as businesses. In addition to this, we have heard your feedback and support. The outpouring of positive messages and support from our MCMA communities has been amazing! We love and appreciate each one of our students and their families. With this in mind, we will be closing for in-person classes starting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17th.
We are acting in accordance with recommendations from epidemiologists and public health officials to minimize community spread of the virus. This is a unique situation that developed quickly and is changing by the day.
The decision to close our schools is not one that we wanted to make, but we feel it is necessary and appropriate. It is a privilege to serve the families across North Carolina and Texas and we will do our part to help our communities remain as healthy as possible during this challenging situation. It is our sincere hope that this public health crisis will subside quickly and allow communities, businesses, and individuals to resume normal activities.
This does not mean that your Taekwondo training must stop though! The Masters and staff at all MCMA locations will still be training and teaching. We are putting together our plan for the best way to provide online training resources through platforms such as Facebook and Youtube. Classes and at-home training videos will start being recorded tomorrow and we will release our first round of videos on Wednesday the 18th. As a result of this temporary interruption of classes, we will automatically be extending all memberships for a duration equal to the time of the closure. We will ensure that you get the full value of the tuition that you have paid or are paying. If an extension will not work for your specific family/membership we will offer a credit equal to the value of the time of the closure. This is a time of uncertainty for many people and businesses, and we are asking for your support and patience. We appreciate your understanding that extensions, rather than holds and cancellations, will allow us to ensure that our facilities and staff will be available and ready to serve you upon your return. We are honored by the opportunity to share Taekwondo with your family, and we look forward to working with you again in person as soon as possible.
